Kristin and Kyle’s Wedding touched my heart in a profound way. The entire weekend was centered around the idea of family and friends coming together to celebrate their first dinner party as husband and wife. Their love story began at a dinner party for their church in New York City back in 2017. Little did they know that this simple gathering would be the spark that ignited their journey together. Fast forward four years, and fate brought them together again, at another dinner party. It was during this moment that the magic truly happened – they felt the connection and decided to explore something more. The rest, as they say, is history.
Laying the Foundation
Throughout their dating years, Kristin and Kyle hosted numerous dinner parties, and it was no surprise that they wanted their wedding to reflect the intimacy and warmth of those cherished gatherings. From the design of their invitations and programs to the choice of Long Weekend Florals, who embraced their non-traditional and unique vibe, every single detail was a testament to their intentional and personal touch. They also had beautiful candles from Lark Honey Co. placed at each table as decorations. Read more about their Dinner Party with “5 Reasons You Should Have A Photographer At Your Rehearsal Dinner.”
Their faith is the foundation of their love, and the wedding ceremony was a breathtaking display of beauty and devotion. It was a moment of sheer grace, where their hearts intertwined, and they embarked on a journey of togetherness, hand in hand. The wedding venue itself, the Rule of Thirds, was a perfect reflection of the couple’s Brooklyn industrial vibe. The spring florals and color palette adorned the space with a touch of natural elegance, tying everything together beautifully.
The Philosophy of Marriage
Throughout the day, it was evident that Kristin and Kyle were just radiating with love and happiness. Their go-with-the-flow attitude allowed them to savor every moment without any stress or worries. They simply embraced the day with open hearts, celebrating the joy of being together and starting this new chapter of their lives. Their philosophy of building a marriage like teamwork was beautifully evident in every decision they made during the wedding planning process. It was heartwarming to witness how their partnership grew stronger with each step, laying the foundation for a lifetime of love and understanding.
As I captured each moment of The Weeks Wedding, I couldn’t help but be moved by the depth of their love and the genuine connection they shared. Their love story was built in Brooklyn, and through their wedding, they shared their passion for life, love, and the beauty of togetherness with everyone around them. In the end, The Weeks’ Wedding wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of love, friendship, and the promise of a lifetime of happiness. As a photographer and now friend, I felt incredibly fortunate to be a witness to such a heartfelt and sentimental day, and I know that Kristin and Kyle’s love story will continue to inspire and touch hearts for years to come.
The Non-Traditional Details and Party
The reception was filled with joy and delight. Rather than just wedding cake, guests were treated to soft serve ice cream and a champagne tower, embodying the couple’s penchant for thoughtful and unexpected choices. The dance party was electrifying, and a GIANT disco ball illuminated the room, casting a shimmering glow of love and happiness. One of the most sentimental moments was their first dance. To Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer,” Kristin and Kyle gracefully swayed (and totally got down) across the dance floor. They had choreographed this dance together, and their love and connection were palpable, touching the hearts of everyone present.
