Engagement sessions are always included in new york city area
An engagement shoot is a chance for us to capture some really beautiful, candid photos of you and your partner in a relaxed environment. Just the two of you, being you before the wedding day. Plus, if you're a little camera-shy, it's the perfect opportunity for you to practice being comfortable in front of the camera with the photographer you're working with, in the lead up to your wedding day.
Engagement sessions are always included in wedding photography packages, and you get a better deal if you book them altogether. If you schedule your engagement session before you schedule your wedding photography packages, some a la carte additions will be added in replacement of your session. Not applicable for film only or discounted storytelling sessions.

Ripped dresses, makeup fiascos, lost rings...I've seen a thing or two. Usually doesn't happen, but sometimes it does. *knocks on wood* I serve as not just your photographer, but your calming presence, shoulder to cry on, and bear hugger. I'm here for you NO MATTER HOW THE DAY GOES. Encouraging you to just come-what-may and enjoy it. All in all, it's about your love. In terms of a disaster on my end, this has never ever happened. However, if it did, I have talented friends and contacts all over the world that will be able to step in for me on wedding day and take care of you. By the way, your photos are triple backed up until your online gallery is delivered, and your gallery doesn’t expire until your first anniversary. Safe & sound in my system.

These sessions are booked on a first come, first served basis only. Some sessions may require specific wardrobe, props or venue rental not included in the rate.

Do you give raw/unedited photos?
No. Make sure to take time to view the full galleries above to make sure everything is what you are looking for in your engagement session gallery. If my colors or editing style aren't the right fit for you, I completely understand, and encourage you to find a photographer whose work aligns with your vision.
Do you have weekend availability?
You'll receive anywhere from 75-150 photos, depending on which package you book & how our shoot day goes! It will take roughly 3 to 4 weeks to receive your final photos. I put a lot of love and care into perfecting each image, which is why it'll take me a little bit more time to deliver your final images. You'll receive a handful of teasers a week after our session to hold you over for the time being!
How many photos will I receive? How long will it take to receive our photos?

No sweat! Email me at hello@abbylphoto.com with your additional questions and I'll do my best to answer them before you put down your deposit. All planning and conversations about concept/vision must happen post-booking.
What about rain?
The beauty of romance is dancing in the rain together. I'm so happy to keep our session on as planned in case of inclement weather. We can also shift vision or location in case you are not comfortable. If none of the above are possible, I'll offer my next possible availability to you, no fee or second deposit needed.
What if I have to cancel or move my booking?
Life is complicated and the unexpected is to be expected. The deposit is non refundable as this helps to protect my business due to turning away all other booking for your session date. Please also understand that there is also a second deposit & a fee in case of a reschedule. I also may not be able to accommodate your new date.
Do you photograph queer/same sex-couples?
Weekend engagement sessions are only reserved for my wedding couples at this time. Inquire with me for wedding photography to get this special perk!
